Miranda Kerr is an Australian fashion model.

She was born in 1983. She was raised in the Australian rural town of Gunnedah, and is of Serbian, Iranian, Turkish and Filipino heritage. Kerr began modelling at

age 13 after winning the Dolly/Impulse Modelling Competition in 1997. This win sparked significant media attention and controversy over her age and maturity, and

the matter of paedophilia and child pornography. Kerr dismissed these claims in an interview, stating; "They were blowing out of proportion. In the media at the time

they were trying to cling on to anything remotely to do with paedophilia. Dolly is a magazine for teenage girls, not for old men. And I was fully clothed! Doing a

winter shoot! They just made something out of nothing."

Kerr was described by one fashionista as having an Audrey Hepburn look. Her success as a model has been phenonemenal and as a result she now appears at high

profile fashion shows, while also gaining immense coverage in various campaigns.

So far, Miranda’s career has consisted of catwalks, fashion and beauty shoots, as well as TV and magazine advertising campaigns. So far she has modelled for

Voodoo Dolls, Levis, Portmans, Jets, Lisa Ho, Veet, Bonds and Peter Alexander, as well as walked for big fashion designers such as Bettina Liano and Nicola

Kerr started her modeling at the age of 13 when she first won the Dolly Magazine/Impulse

Model Competition and was flown to Sydney a week before her fourteenth birthday to shoot for

the magazine. Since she was so young, it opened a big contraversy to show how young girls are

exploited within the entertainment industry. This did not stop her from persuing her career in

modeling. After graduating high school, she then went on to sign with different modeling

agencies.

In 2005 she finally signed with Next modeling agency, and from there was right away booked

for shows agfter shows such as, Baby Phat, Lisa Ho, Voodoo Dolls, Levi's, Bettina Liano, Nicola

Finetti, L.A.M.B, Heatherette, Betsey Johnson, Trelise Cooper, Jets, John Richmond, Blumarine

Swimwear, Seafolly Swimwear, Anna Molinari, Roberto Cavalli, Enrico Coveri, Arden B, Cia

Maritima, Amuleti J,Elle, Oyster, Madison, Australian Vogue andHarpers Bazaar and was

featured in television adverts for brands such as Portmans, Bonds and Veet, and appeared

frequently in the televised Victoria's Secret runway parades.
